Suita

I tried using Suita for the first time in a while.

The smell of mud makes me nostalgic (lol)

The natural slurry from the whetstone definitely has an effect—it feels like the bevel is gripping right onto the stone. With a slightly flat grind, it tends to do that, doesn’t it? Haha! There’s definitely some variation among Suita stones, but they bring out an edge that feels sharp, almost biting.

It’s tempting to try Hideriyama stones next, but I’ll call it a day here. Still debating whether to add an itohiki edge with my Maruka Nakayama… Decisions, decisions! I’m really drawn in by the look of this blade bevel.
