ZDP189

This evening, I started the honbaduke on a ZDP-189. Known for its top-tier hardness among blade steels, it lives up to the reputation—extremely hard and unbelievably tough! I’ve got about 80% of the edge polished now, and I gave it a test run on some newspaper… it cut through silently and effortlessly. Can’t wait to see the final result once it’s fully sharpened!

My arms are feeling the strain, so I’m calling it a day here. It’s challenging, but a knife like this rewards you when you give it the attention it deserves! (^^)
