Sharpening explanation
I’m writing an instruction manual for housewives on how to sharpen single-bevel knives. I’ve realized just how challenging it is to explain to someone who knows nothing about sharpening or knife structure. For someone like me who wants to explain everything, I’m trying to keep it concise by cutting out unnecessary words and keeping it simple… but in the end, it just turns into a standard manual. If I go into too much detail, it becomes complicated, but with a simplified guide, they might not sharpen properly or fully appreciate the charm of single-bevel knives. Hmm… this is quite the dilemma. Maybe explaining it through a video would be easier. Standard guides are packed with only the essentials, which I guess is good in its own way, as I realized today.
