Let’s talk about the front and back of natural whetstones. This isn’t about the stones themselves, but rather the different sides of the mountains where they’re sourced from! There’s the front side, and then there’s the back side (^^)ｂ Which one’s better? The front or the back? Well… it’s hard to say. While there may be differences between the front and back, sometimes they share similar qualities… If it’s the front, it might cost around 200,000 yen! But if it’s the back, it could be as low as 30,000 yen. Guess which mountain we’re talking about? (Lol) Those who know, know. Once you learn to distinguish the stones, you can get ones with similar qualities!
