Shinogi and tip.
Today, let’s talk about the knives I received for sharpening and repair work. I decided to try using a marker to visualize during the sharpening process. I marked the areas in red that I planned to remove while sharpening.
My goal was to create a shinogi line similar to the new sample knives displayed in the showcase. I aimed to recreate that triangular point at the front of the flat part, making it thin and smooth. This way, the knife would pass through more easily!
Sometimes, setting a goal like this can provide clarity while sharpening and help you focus on the right areas.
