To be absorbed in

The other day, I finally bought a DSLR camera. It all started with the influence of photographers visiting our company, gradually igniting my desire to own one. After two weeks of deliberation, I ended up choosing a Canon, which was recommended by Mr. Jun Takagi! With this, it seems I’ll be able to meet the demands of NY KORIN as well.

Here are some photos I took with the camera I recently bought. Not bad for a beginner, right? Trying my hand at photography made me understand something about the pros: it’s all about getting lost in the moment. So, no matter how dirty or how much trouble it might cause, you just keep seeking that perfect angle. Mr. Doi, for instance, rarely speaks or gives off a vibe that invites conversation when he’s working. It’s almost intimidating to approach him. And even if you do, he often doesn’t respond. I guess that’s just how it goes when you’re creating something with your hands. As one craftsman put it, “I just love making knives so, so much!” That’s what it’s all about, I suppose.
